Have to be careful though. I remember walking back to my pad at 3am with -10C from some club/bar and on the mobile for 10 mins. i was pissed of course and took my glove off. Woke up next morning with purple nuckles. Some form of frostbite.

Respect the cold.

Oslo can be humid, but it helps a bit when it freezes. I prefer minus 3 degrees and icey to plus 3 and wet.

Re: Norway
Its a dry cold in Norway and Sweden. Its actually very bearable. UK is much worse with the damp like Mashed says. Give me the Nordics any time.

Ok the darkness is a bummer though.

As long as it's the Troll Hunting Season. Do it outside of that, and they give you the choice of punishment.....either they chop your balls off, or they force you to eat Lutefisk (Lye Fish).

Best not hunt trolls out of season, but if you do and get caught.....beg for the castration option.

Are you still allowed to hunt Trolls??

Norway ARE full of lazy cunts!

Please explain Sweeds?

God help us!

Re: Norway
Norway are full of lazy cunts.
All shops are employed by Sweeds, cause norwegians are too good to take them jobs.
It might be a rich country with lovely nature and plenty of fish and oil, but the people are getting greedy and non-service minded.

Re: Norway
I went to Sweden in March.

Wasn't even that cold.

Well it was, but it didn't seem as bad cos it didn't have the biting wind and pissy drizzle the UK has for 6-8 months of the year.

"October - April is INSUFFERABLE"

Unless you like skiing, sledging, ice-skating and funky clothing combinations, then it's excellent.

In the cities, the buses, buildings and the rest are designed for the cold climate, so with my woolen long-johns on, I suffer a lot less on the Norwegian winter than I used to back in Essex, where the houses were useless at keeping the cold out. Ice on the inside of the windows FFS. I've nenever seen that here.

Re: Norway

Ehrrrr, what is it that you like so much about NORWAY?

I'm a Scandie by birth.
October - April is INSUFFERABLE due to the climez. Especially in urban environs. The Political Correctness (esp. in Sweden) is at a World Record Level.

Once you get accustomed to the sensation of nature and Scandie Balloon Knots, it is a cold place in every sense of the word.
